Pemanfaatan Kawasan Perhutanan Sosial melalui Good Agricultural Pratices (Gap) Petani Kopi di Kecamatan Latimojong dan Suli Barat Kabupaten Luwu

Kecamatan Latimojong dan Kecamatan Suli Barat merupakan sentra pengembangan kopi di Kabupaten Luwu yang memiliki potensi pasar nasional dan ekspor yang cukup besar. Pada sisi lain, produktivitas lahan masih tergolong rendah dengan rata-rata produksi tertinggi 200 kg/ha. Pelaksanaan program pemberdayaan Masyarakat petani kopi pada Kawasan perhutanan sosial memerlukan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produksi kopi dalam rangka menunjang kesejahteraan petani. Kegiatan dilaksanakan memlalui beberapa tahap yang dimulai dengan obesrvasi lapang, focus group discussons (FGD) sebanyak 23 peserta, pendampingan pemanfaatan lahan perhutanan sosial, penyuluhan teknik budidaya kopi secara terpadu dengan peserta sebanyak 57 orang. Jumlah petani pengelola hutan pada 5 desa mutra kerja sebanyak 960 orang. sebanyak Pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui kegiatan pemanfaatan lahan pada Kawasan perhutanan sosial membutuhkan inovasi teknologi budidaya kopi secara terpadu untuk meningkatkan produktivias kebun kopi petani. Peningkatan kapasitas pengetahuan dan kelembagaan petani merupakan modal dasar dalam mengelola kawasan perhutanan sosial. Penyusunan RKU yang baik, peningkatan jiwa kewirusahaan sehingga pengusahaan komoditas izin usaha menjadi optimal, peningkatan penggunaan teknologi informasi pada semua proses kegiatan usaha, dan pengembangan industri berbasis sumber daya hutan di bagian hilir. Penyusunan Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) secara partisipatif dan teknologi ramah lingkungan menjadi perhatian khusus dalam merumuskan pengembangan komoditi kopi. Penggunaan lahan di Kecamatan Latimojong lebih dominan untuk tanaman Kopi dengan jenis Arabika, sementara di Kecamatan Suli Barat tanaman Cengkeh yang mendominasi penguasaan lahan. Produktivitas kopi di Kecamatan Latimojong dan Kecamatan Suli Barat cenderung mengalami perubahan drastis. Pemanfaatan lahan yang makin tidak sesuai dengan komoditi kopi, umur kopi yang telah lewat masa produktif, serangan hama dan penyakit serta harga kopi yang relatif murah.
