Pepaya merupakan salah satu komoditi buah-buahan dengan prospek yang baik untuk dikembangkan. Salah satu pepaya yang banyak diminati konsumen adalah pepaya California. Kelompok Tani Buraq Mandar menjadi salah satu Kelompok tani di Kabupaten Majene yang memiliki potensi untuk mengembangkan bisnis pepaya California. Akan tetapi, kelompok tani Buraq Mandar belum mampu memenuhi permintaan pasar karena terdapat banyak kendala-kendala yang ditemui dalam menjalankan usaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis lingkungan internal dan eksternal usaha Pepaya California kelompok tani Buraq Mandar, serta merumuskan Strategi pengembangan usaha yang dapat diterapkan kelompok tani Buraq Mandar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai Juni 2020. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode QSPM (Quantitative strategic Planning Matrix) yaitu sebuah metode untuk menentukan prioritas alternatif strategi yang diperoleh dari Analisis SWOT (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities dan Threats). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor internal yang dimiliki adalah Produk yang berkualitas; Tenaga kerja lokal; Ketersediaan lahan; Modal kuat; Ketentuan harga; Manajemen masih kurang; Produksi belum optimal; Kurangnya keterampilan; dan belum adanya pengembangan dan penelitian. Sedangkan, faktor eksternal adalah Konsumsi buah meningkat; Permintaan tinggi; Dukungan pemerintah; Adanya perkembangan teknologi; Perubahan cuaca; Adanya hama dan penyakit; Pesaing; dan Produk subsitusi. Hasil penilaian QSPM adalah Menjaga kualitas dan meningkatan hasil produksi; Mengoptimalkan kegiatan pemeliharaan tanaman; Mempertahankan keberlanjutan hasil produksi; Memperbaiki kemampuan kelompok tani; Perbaikan manajemen pemasaran; dan Melakukan kerja sama.
