Uji Aplikasi Insektisida Nabati Ekstrak Batang Brotowali Terhadap Hama Ulat Grayak Pada Tanaman Jagung (Zea mays.)

Jagung merupakan komoditas bernilai ekonomi tinggi dengan permintaan yang terus meningkat di Indonesia, namun produksinya belum mencukupi kebutuhan domestik dan mengalami fluktuasi di Sulawesi Selatan. Salah satu kendala utama dalam budidaya jagung adalah serangan hama, khususnya ulat grayak (Spodoptera litura), yang dapat menyebabkan kerusakan daun parah dan penurunan hasil. Pengendalian hama yang ramah lingkungan diperlukan untuk mengurangi ketergantungan pada pestisida sintetik. Brotowali (Tinospora crispa) diketahui mengandung senyawa bioaktif seperti alkaloid dan terpenoid yang berpotensi sebagai pestisida nabati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas ekstrak batang brotowali dalam mengendalikan ulat grayak pada tanaman jagung serta menentukan konsentrasi yang paling efektif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Mario, Kabupaten Bone, Sulawesi Selatan, pada September–Oktober 2025. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas ekstrak batang brotowali dengan konsentrasi 0 (kontrol), 15, 25, 35, 45, dan 55 ml/liter air. Parameter yang diamati meliputi mortalitas larva dan intensitas kerusakan daun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak batang brotowali berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap mortalitas ulat grayak. Konsentrasi tertinggi (55 ml/l) menghasilkan mortalitas tertinggi sebesar 1,50%, sedangkan kontrol hanya 0,10%. Sebaliknya, intensitas kerusakan daun terendah ditemukan pada konsentrasi 55 ml/l (0,54%), sedangkan kontrol memiliki intensitas tertinggi (0,94%).
