Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Tanaman Labu Siam (Sechium edule) pada Pemberian Trichokompos dan Monosodium Glutamat

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk Trichokompos dan Monosodium Glutamat (MSG) terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman labu siam. Trichokompos dibuat dari campuran kotoran sapi dengan cendawan Trichoderma sp. yang difermentasi selama 3 minggu menggunakan composter. Penelitian dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Cokroaminoto Palopo dari bulan Maret hingga Mei 2025. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 6 perlakuan, diulang 4 kali, sehingga menghasilkan 24 satuan percobaan. Percobaan meliputi: P0: Tanpa Perlakuan (kontrol), P1: Trichokompos 250 g/tanaman dan MSG 8 g/tanaman, P2: Trichokompos 300 g/tanaman dan MSG 10 g/tanaman, P3: Trichokompos 350 g/tanaman dan MSG 12 g/tanaman, P4: Trichokompos 400 g/tanaman dan MSG 14 g/tanaman, P5: Trichokompos 450 g/tanaman dan MSG 16 g/tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk Trichokompos memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda nyata terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, umur berbunga, dan berat buah. Pemberian pupuk Trichokompos dengan dosis 450 g/tanaman dan MSG 16 g/tanaman memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap semua parameter yang diamati, yaitu tinggi tanaman dengan nilai rata-rata 139,13 cm, jumlah daun 31,88 helai, umur berbunga 30 HST (hari setelah tanam), dan berat buah 682,25 gram.
