Manajemen Pakan Alternatif dalam Upaya Meminimalkan Biaya Pakan pada Budidaya Domba di Setya Lembu Multifarm

Biaya pakan merupakan komponen biaya terbesar dalam usaha budidaya domba, sehingga peningkatan harga pakan konvensional secara terus-menerus berpotensi menekan keuntungan peternak, termasuk yang dialami oleh Setya Lembu Multifarm di Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efisiensi penggunaan pakan konvensional, mengkaji potensi pakan alternatif berbahan singkong dalam menekan biaya produksi, serta mengidentifikasi penerapan manajemen pengelolaan pakan alternatif di lokasi penelitian. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai Mei 2026 menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode sensus terhadap 17 responden yang merupakan seluruh tenaga kerja Setya Lembu Multifarm. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, dokumentasi, dan diskusi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan perhitungan biaya pakan, Cost Comparison Analysis, serta pendekatan fungsi manajemen Planning, Organizing, Actuating, dan Controlling (POAC). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biaya pakan konvensional mencapai Rp36.000.000 per bulan atau 66,06 persen dari total biaya produksi sebesar Rp54.500.000, sehingga tergolong kurang efisien dibandingkan proporsi umum sekitar 60 persen. Penerapan pakan alternatif dengan komposisi 60 persen konsentrat dan 40 persen singkong mampu menurunkan biaya pakan menjadi Rp26.900.000 per bulan, atau terjadi penghematan sebesar Rp9.100.000 (25,28 persen), sekaligus menurunkan total biaya produksi menjadi Rp45.400.000 per bulan. Analisis fungsi manajemen menunjukkan bahwa Setya Lembu Multifarm telah menerapkan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, pengarahan, dan pengawasan pakan alternatif secara terstruktur. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan singkong sebagai pakan alternatif efektif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi biaya pakan tanpa mengorbankan fungsi pakan sebagai sumber energi bagi ternak.
