The journal strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and unethical citation practices. Every manuscript submitted to the journal must represent the author’s original work and properly acknowledge the contributions of others.
The Editorial Team is committed to ensuring that all published works are original, credible, and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge in the fields of Economics, Management, and Accounting/Finance.
Plagiarism involves presenting another person’s ideas, processes, results, or words without proper acknowledgment. The following practices are considered plagiarism and are strictly prohibited:
Copying large portions of text from other publications without proper citation.
Paraphrasing another author’s work or ideas without proper acknowledgment.
Self-plagiarism, or the reuse of substantial parts of one’s own published work without citation or disclosure.
Fabrication or falsification of data, figures, or results.
Improper citation manipulation, including excessive self-citation or irrelevant referencing.
All manuscripts submitted to Income Journal of Economics Development undergo plagiarism screening in two stages:
Preliminary Check (Editorial Stage):
Upon submission, manuscripts are screened using Turnitin or iThenticate plagiarism detection software.
The editorial team evaluates the similarity report before the manuscript proceeds to the peer review process.
Verification (Post-Revision Stage):
A final plagiarism check is conducted after the author’s revision to ensure that the similarity index remains within acceptable limits.

| 15–20% | Revision required before review. The author must paraphrase and properly cite sources. |
| > 20% | Automatically rejected due to high similarity. The manuscript may be returned for resubmission after significant revision. |
Note: Quotations, references, and methodological similarities are excluded from the similarity count when properly cited.
If plagiarism is detected, the following actions will be taken:
Before publication:
The manuscript will be rejected immediately, and the author will be notified.
Authors may be given the opportunity to revise only in minor or unintentional similarity cases.
After publication:
The article will be retracted from the journal database.
A notice of retraction will be published online, clearly stating the reason.
The author’s affiliated institution will be informed.
The author may be blacklisted from future submissions to the journal.
Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their work. It is the author’s obligation to:
Properly cite all sources used in the manuscript.
Avoid using text, data, or figures without permission or acknowledgment.
Use plagiarism detection tools (e.g., Turnitin, Grammarly, or iThenticate) before submission.
Submit an Author Statement Form confirming that the manuscript is original and free from plagiarism.
The Editorial Team and Peer Reviewers are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the review process by:
Evaluating manuscripts for originality and proper citation.
Reporting any suspected plagiarism to the Editor-in-Chief.
Following the journal’s policy and COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines in handling ethical misconduct.
