Publication Ethic

1. Publication Ethics Statement

Income Journal of Economics Development is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in all aspects of publication ethics, particularly concerning authorship, peer review, and plagiarism. All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers—are expected to adhere to these ethical standards.

2. Duties of Authors

Authors are required to:

  • Ensure that their manuscripts are original and have not been published elsewhere or submitted simultaneously to another journal.

  • Present accurate data and research findings without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation.

  • Properly acknowledge all sources that have influenced their research and cite relevant prior work.

  • List all individuals who have made significant contributions as co-authors, and ensure all co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.

  • Immediately notify the editor if a significant error or inaccuracy is discovered in their published work and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.

  • Avoid plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism.

3. Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

  • Making fair and unbiased editorial decisions, evaluating manuscripts based on their academic merit, without discrimination regarding race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.

  • Ensuring a transparent and objective peer-review process, maintaining the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts.

  • Preventing any form of conflict of interest among authors, reviewers, and editorial board members.

  • Taking appropriate action when ethical complaints have been presented concerning a submitted or published paper, including the publication of corrections, clarifications, retractions, or apologies when necessary.

  • Safeguarding the integrity of the academic record.

4. Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Contribute to the editorial decision-making process by providing constructive, objective, and timely feedback.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of all manuscripts received for review.

  • Refrain from using unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research without written consent from the author.

  • Alert the editor of any potential ethical concerns such as plagiarism, duplication, or data manipulation.

  • Decline the review if there is a potential conflict of interest with any of the authors or research institutions.

5. Duties of the Publisher

Pustaka Digital Indonesia, as the publisher of Income Journal of Economics Development, is committed to:

  • Supporting the editorial board in maintaining academic integrity and ethical standards.

  • Ensuring that publishing decisions are independent from commercial interests or advertising influence.

  • Promoting accessibility and preservation of all published articles through open access policies.

  • Cooperating with other publishers and organizations in cases of alleged research or publication misconduct to promote ethical publishing practices.

6. Handling of Publication Malpractice

In cases of suspected misconduct—such as plagiarism, data falsification, or unethical research behavior—the editorial team will follow the COPE flowcharts and guidelines. The journal will take necessary actions, which may include manuscript rejection, publication retraction, and notification to the authors’ institutions or funding bodies.
