Penguatan Peran Komunitas Perempuan dalam Ketahanan Pangan dan Kesehatan Lingkungan melalui Pelatihan Urban Farming Berbasis Pemanfaatan Sampah Organik

Permasalahan keterbatasan lahan dan peningkatan volume sampah rumah tangga menjadi tantangan dalam mewujudkan ketahanan pangan dan lingkungan yang sehat di wilayah perkotaan, termasuk di Provinsi Papua Barat Daya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu-ibu ‘Aisyiyah Provinsi Papua Barat Daya dalam menerapkan urban farming sebagai solusi terhadap keterbatasan lahan dan pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pemaparan materi, pelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik cair, pembuatan pestisida nabati dari kulit bawang, serta praktik penanaman sayuran daun dengan memanfaatkan sampah anorganik sebagai media tanam. Kegiatan dilaksanakan secara partisipatif dengan pendampingan selama praktik berlangsung. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, terjadi peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta, dengan nilai rata-rata pre-test sebesar 58,55% meningkat menjadi 85,62% pada post-test. Peserta menunjukkan antusiasme dan kesiapan untuk menerapkan urban farming di rumah masing-masing. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas perempuan, memperkuat ketahanan pangan keluarga, serta mendorong pengelolaan lingkungan yang sehat dan berkelanjutan.
