Pelatihan Uji Fitokimia Tanaman Lokal yang Berpotensi sebagai Obat-obatan untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Sains Siswa di SMK Analis Mandala Bhakti Kota Palopo

Peningkatan literasi sains dan keterampilan laboratorium merupakan aspek penting dalam mendukung kompetensi siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), khususnya pada bidang analisis kimia. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan literasi sains siswa melalui pelatihan uji fitokimia tanaman lokal yang berpotensi dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan obat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMK Analis Mandala Bhakti Kota Palopo dengan melibatkan dosen Program Studi Kimia Fakultas Sains Universitas Cokroaminoto Palopo, ketua program studi, kepala sekolah, guru bidang Kimia dan Biologi, serta siswa kelas XII. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi penyuluhan, demonstrasi, dan pendampingan praktikum penggunaan alat laboratorium serta pengenalan teknik skrining fitokimia pada tanaman lokal yang berpotensi sebagai sumber obat tradisional. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa mengenai pemanfaatan sumber daya alam hayati, pengenalan senyawa metabolit sekunder, serta peningkatan keterampilan dalam penggunaan peralatan laboratorium kimia. Selain itu, kegiatan ini berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan literasi sains siswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis praktik yang mengintegrasikan konsep kimia dengan potensi sumber daya hayati lokal dan memperkuat kemitraan antara perguruan tinggi dan sekolah dalam mendukung peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran berbasis laboratorium.
