Author Guidelines

1. General Information

Income Journal of Economics Development (e-ISSN 3025-3225) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Pustaka Digital Indonesia, focusing on research in Economics, Management, and Accounting/Finance. The journal publishes high-quality, original research articles twice a year (January and July). Manuscripts submitted to this journal must be written in English, be original (not previously published or under review elsewhere), and follow the format described in these author guidelines.

Authors are strongly advised to read and adhere to the following instructions carefully. Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines will be returned to the authors before the review process.


2. Manuscript Submission

  • All manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system at the journal’s website: https://journaljekami.ac.id.

  • The submission must include:

    1. The main manuscript file in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.

    2. A signed Author Statement Form confirming originality and authorship.

    3. A plagiarism check report (similarity must be below 20%).


3. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be structured in the following order:

Title

  • Written in English, concise, specific, and informative (maximum 15 words).

  • Font: Times New Roman, 16 pt, bold, and centered.

Author(s) Name and Affiliation

  • Full names (no abbreviations) of all authors.

  • Authors’ affiliations must include: department, institution/university, city, and country.

  • The corresponding author must include an active email address.

  • Font: Times New Roman, 9 pt, bold, centered.

Abstract

  • Written in English, not exceeding 250 words.

  • Must include: research purpose, methodology, results, and key findings.

  • Avoid citations and abbreviations in the abstract.

  • Followed by Keywords (3–6 words), arranged alphabetically.

Main Text

The main text should contain the following sections:

  1. Introduction

    • Describe the research background, literature review, gap analysis, research problem, and objectives.

    • End the introduction with clear research objectives or hypotheses.

  2. Literature Review (Optional)

    • Include relevant theories, models, and previous empirical studies.

    • Highlight novelty or differences from existing research.

  3. Methodology

    • Explain research design, data sources, population/sample, instruments, and analysis methods clearly and systematically.

  4. Results and Discussion

    • Present key findings supported by tables, figures, and statistical analyses.

    • Discuss results by comparing them with previous studies and theoretical implications.

  5. Conclusion and Recommendation

    • Summarize major findings, implications, limitations, and suggestions for future research.

  6. Acknowledgment (if any)

    • State the funding source, grant number, or institutional support.

  7. References

    • Must follow APA 7th Edition citation style.

    • References should consist of at least 80% recent sources (from the last 5 years) and include DOI links where available.

    • Use a reference management tool such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.


4. Manuscript Formatting

Tables and figures must be:

  • Sequentially numbered (Table 1, Table 2, Figure 1, etc.)

  • Accompanied by clear titles and sources if applicable.

  • Embedded in the text, not in separate files.


5. Ethical Considerations

  • The manuscript must be original and free from plagiarism.

  • The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring all co-authors have approved the final version.

  • Ethical clearance is required for studies involving human subjects.

  • The journal adheres to the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.


6. Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using trusted software (e.g., Turnitin). Manuscripts with similarity levels above 20% will be automatically rejected before entering the peer review process.


7. Peer Review Process

  • All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.

  • Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and publication history in the relevant field.

  • The review process typically takes 4–8 weeks.

  • The final decision (acceptance, revision, or rejection) is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewer recommendations.


8. Publication Fee

This journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts. Details of publication fees can be found on the Author Fees page.


9. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their published articles but grant the journal the right of first publication. Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), allowing others to share and adapt the work with appropriate attribution.
