1. Submission Process

Authors must submit their manuscripts through the online submission system available on the AJMB website. Each submitted manuscript must strictly follow the Author Guidelines and use the official journal template. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscript and agreed to its submission to AJMB.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

After submission, the editorial office conducts an initial evaluation to ensure that the manuscript:

  • Fits within the scope and aims of the journal.

  • Complies with ethical standards and the journal format.

  • Passes an initial plagiarism check using Turnitin or equivalent software (maximum similarity index: 20%).

Manuscripts failing to meet these criteria will be returned to the authors for revision or may be rejected at this stage.

3. Peer Review Process

Eligible manuscripts are forwarded to at least two independent peer reviewers following a double-blind review procedure.

  • Both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the process.

  • Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, relevance, methodology, clarity, and contribution to the field of management and business.

  • The review period typically takes 4–8 weeks.

The reviewers’ recommendations may result in one of the following decisions:

  1. Accepted without revision

  2. Accepted with minor revisions

  3. Revised and resubmitted (major revisions)

  4. Rejected

4. Revision Process

Authors are required to respond to reviewer comments systematically using a response letter, explaining the changes made or justifying those not implemented. Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted through the online system for re-evaluation by the editorial team or the reviewers.

5. Final Decision and Editing

After peer review and revision, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding acceptance.
Accepted manuscripts then undergo:

  • Language editing and formatting in accordance with the journal template.

  • Proofreading to correct minor grammatical or typographical errors.

  • Final layout check before publication.

Authors will receive a final proof for approval prior to publication.

6. Publication

Once approved, the article is assigned to an issue (January or July) and published online under the Open Access policy of AJMB. Each published article will be assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through CrossRef to ensure permanent accessibility and citation tracking.

7. Post-Publication and Indexing

Published articles are immediately available for download and citation.
AJMB is indexed in several international databases such as Dimensions, Index Copernicus, WorldCat, DOAJ, ASEAN Cites, and RePEc, ensuring high visibility and academic impact.

8. Ethical Oversight

Throughout the publishing process, AJMB adheres to the ethical principles set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Editors, reviewers, and authors are expected to comply with these principles to maintain integrity and transparency in academic publishing.
